The Elizabeth Dole Young Entrepreneur Scholarship has been established by Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) to recognize high potential young women business owners who are leaders in their community, with resources and guidance to excel their businesses and personal success.  The scholarship provides the winners with working capital, a dedicated advisory board, PR opportunities and a community of support.

The 2008 scholarship winner, announced at the WIPP Annual Fall Conference earlier this month, is Christin Bummer, CEO of K9 Kingdom, an Indoor Adventure Park for Dogs in Wexford, Pennsylvania.  SmartSamantha will be working with Ms. Bummer and the other three scholarship finalists in the coming months, sharing business smarts to help make their business adventures an even greater success.
